1. How Hight Is Mount Rinjani ?

Mount Rinjani is one of the second hights mount volcano in Indonesia the altitude 3.726 metter above sea level, The first one is mount Krinci 3.805 metter above sea level.

2.What is the temperature like in the mountains?

The temperature in the day is around 15 – 25 degree Celsius at and below the rims. At night, the temperature at the Rim is usually below 10 degree Celsius. At times, it can be near freezing especially towards the summit, and the summit around 5-0 degree

3. How Difficult Is To Trek Mount  Rinjani ?

For a lot of people, climbing Rinjani is a very challenging and worth  experience. But anyone in reasonable shape or fitness level  can manage to reach the crater rim, or even the summit. Porters are carrying all food and camping equipment, which makes it much easier for you during the trek and but you are expected to carry your own personal daypack of less than 5 kilograms.

Climbing to the summit is optional, if you didn’t want to go to the summit you can choose the trek until the crater , the path of the route until the crater is normal but for the summit is very hard especially 1 hours before reach the summit starting from Rim you walk on the sandy path  , this path not needed rock climbing or technical climbing.

Our mountain guide and porters are in charged only to carry all camping equipments (tents, sleeping bags, mattresses, etc), cooking set and logistics needed during the program (food, water, snacks, fruits, soft drink, etc) they are not in charge to carry your personal belongings.

If you need extra porters to carry your personal stuffs, they are available at extra cost of USD 70 per porter per day, the weight not more than  15 kg.You are advised to travel as light as it could be, the rest of your luggage can be stored at our office. and get them back after the trek.

4. When is the best trekking season for Mount Rinjani?

Normally, Trekking to mount Rinjani start open from the  First week of April and close  last week of the December, or we can say mount Rinjani close on the first week of January , why , because start from January until last of March is Peak raining season, the best tim for hiking   on  dry months from April to December.

5. What should I bring to Rinjani?

Bellow are list of items you should carry during the trek programme. All items to be packed in a small backpack no more than 5 kgs.

– Small headlamp with spare batteries. (Only If You Hike to The Summit)
– 1 pair champ shoes/trek shoes are good.
– 1. Toiletries.

  1. Personal medications

– Sun block/lotion, hat/cap, sun glasses.
– Spray for muscle/balm.
– Insect repellent.
– Camera, Handy Cam and batteries (Manual or Digital).
– Small towel.
– 2-4 cotton T-shirts
– Long trek pants/wind proof.
– 1. Windproof Jacket.

  2. Rain coat

– 2 pcs. of shorts.
– Trek stick/leaky (optional).
– Sandals (optional).
– Swimming Suite (optional).
– Binocular (optional).
– Extra trail snack (we supply fruits, Menu)
– Garbage Plastic can.

6. Do I need a trekking stick for the trek?

Trekking pole or is stick really important  for the summit climb as the path of the summit is very steep and loose volcanic soil that may cause one to slip down  easily for going up . you can rent trekking pole or stick IDR. 50.000 a pair.

7. What is the accommodation like on the Rinjani trek?

You will be camping in a tent with sleeping bag and sleeping mattress

8. Are there toilets on the Mt Rinjani trail?

No, but we have toilet tents. Your porter will set up the toilet tent for you are, you  will have a private toilet tent set-up at each camping site. A long the way up or down. However it’s important to remember there are no established toilets on the trail and when  you want to go to the bathroom  you will have to find a bush. Please feel free to ask your guides to help you find a spot .

9. How much drinking water will be provided during the trek?

For the water, there are  3 bottle every person for each day of the trek. One  bottle consists of 1500 ml. Before start the we will give you one bottle each when it finished you just your ask the guide or porter  to give you the new one because the team tjey carried it for your water.

10. Do the guide and porters speaks English?

Our guides can speak  in English but most porters can only understand simple English.

11. Can you accommodate for vegetarian food during the trek ?

Yes we can, we have menu for vegetarian food .
